The Greater Susquehanna Valley is home to nationally-ranked colleges and universities, technical institutions, seven public school districts, and four private primary and secondary schools – all providing a solid educational and technical foundation to support our regional economy. Colleges and Universities
Greater Susquehanna Valley’s higher education institutions offer a breadth of high quality educational and cultural opportunities rarely equaled in other rural areas.

Bloomsburg University

Bloomsburg University offers 56 undergraduate programs and 19 graduate programs. It offers a student-to-teacher ratio of 20-1 with lectures averaging 31 students. The University's 282-acre campus is located right in the heart of Bloomsburg's downtown.

Bucknell University
Bucknell University was founded in 1846 and is a highly selective, private co-educational, residential university offering world-class undergraduate, and graduate programs in a safe and rural setting. Bucknell offers 53 majors and 64 minors, including one of the best engineering programs in the country. The university enrolls 3,350 undergraduates and 150 graduate students.

Susquehanna University
Susquehanna University, founded in 1858, is a competitive liberal arts university consisting of three colleges: The School of Arts, Humanities, and Communications; The School of Natural and Social Sciences; and the Sigmund Weis School of Business. Susquehanna enrolls approximately 1,900 students and awards undergraduate degrees in over 30 fields of study.

Technical & Adult Education
A strong investment in workforce development has long been a hallmark of the Greater Susquehanna Valley. Five area business and technical schools provide exceptional training in a wide variety of fields. These include business administration, computer networking, surgical technology, tool making, electronics technology, diesel technology, and even the culinary arts.

McCann School of Business & Technology
McCann School of Business & Technology has been serving the region for over 100 years, making it the oldest private career school in Northeastern Pennsylvania. McCann offers programs in a variety of business related fields, including computer networking and programming, business administration, and accounting. They offer flexible schedules, lifetime job placement, and a relaxed, friendly, and affordable education.

Pennsylvania College of Technology
An affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania College of Technology is one of the state’s premier technical colleges, offering both bachelors and associates degree programs in over 100 career fields. These include manufacturing, design, transportation, construction, and natural resources, hospitality, health care, business, and communications.

SUN Area Technical Institute
Located in New Berlin, Pennsylvania, SUN Area Technical Institute provides area high school students with skills needed to compete in today’s job market and receive consideration for advanced college placement. SUN Tech offers programs in drafting, wood products manufacturing, precision machining, and information technology. Programs for adult students are also available. SUN Tech enrolls more than 1,500 students.

Triangle Tech
Triangle Tech offers a wide variety of associate degrees and diploma programs in several fields, including construction technology, drafting, electrical maintenance, and fabrication technology.
