Our active learning program begins with a one and a half day retreat, followed by eight monthly, day-long sessions including numerous field trips, group projects and other practical experiences. The Program is friendly, interactive and intense: participants are expected to attend each of the Program Days and to contribute consistently to the work of the group.

Retreat - During the LSV Class Retreat in September, the class immerses itself in team building, leadership and problem solving, and examines the institutions and organizations that make their communities tick.
Program Days- From October to May, the group develops knowledge and informed points of view on key issues and trends in their communities.
Graduation - In June, class members are honored for their hard work throughout the year. Groups present on their community projects, while a guest speaker gives them one last piece of advice. Graduates receive a certificate and other tokens of their accomplishments.
