Chamber President Steps Down

(SHAMOKIN DAM -- Oct. 31, 2008) The Board of Directors of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce has accepted the resignation of President and CEO, Dave Hall, effective Dec. 31.

Hall joined the chamber in April 2007, and also served as the executive director of the Susquehanna Industrial Development Corp., Sunbury New Enterprises Expansion Drive and Leadership Susquehanna Valley.

" I have reached a point in my professional life where it is important to pursue other opportunities and options. I thank the board members for their service to the organization and their commitment to the region. The dedication of the local chamber members is not often matched within the industry, and I will miss working with them,” said Hall.

Jay Lemons, chairman of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors said that Hall has brought "significant energy" to his leadership.

Denise Prince, the CEO of Geisinger Ventures and region five vice president of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, will head the search committee, which will seek to identify Hall’s successor.
