Congratulations to our Valley’s Young Americans

The Young American program, of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, recognizes outstanding accomplishments of students in twelve participating schools for their achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities.

Participating schools select one student each month, September through May, to receive the Young Americans award. They select the students by utilizing the following criteria:

Senior in high school

Scholastic Achievements

School Activities

Character

Out-of-school participation

Each year, the Young Americans attend an all-day seminar held in April. The students are coached by area business leaders, as they focus on topics such as Networking, Diversity, Leadership, Communication/Teamwork, and Finances.

A Young American banquet is held in May of each year to give special recognition to outstanding students in the region whose school participates in the program. It is the closing ceremony to the Young American program each school year. All Young American recipients are presented a certificate in honor of their accomplishments.

This program prepares the next generation of leaders for the business community.

We need to be proud of our students and everything they are doing in their schools and communities. These students are our future; we need to make sure they ar

e prepared and willing to take on the everyday challenges of life. Without our guidance and support, who knows where these students will be in five years? We need to show these young adults that we care about them and the future they can create.

This program not only prepares our next generation, but it shows them they have something to offer this country. It motivates them even more to be the best they can be while having love and support from those who care.

It is a great honor to receive this award; only a select few from the Susquehanna Valley are blessed with this opportunity. Please join us in an effort to educate and prepare our future leaders of America.

Congratulations to:
